We are seeking investors in a number of different categories. This is a quick guide.
|
| Advance Order - Fleet | An organization placing an order in advance for a fleet of vehicles to be delivered once production begins. The organization will receive a substantial discount for the advance purchase, in addition to a volume discount depending on quantity and features. The balance will be returned in the form of preferred shares. Base cost: $20,000 per vehicle, depending on quantities. |
| Advance Order - Individual | An individual who places an order for a vehicle to be delivered once production begins. The primary return for this category of investor is a substantial discount from the retail price of the product. The remainder of the investment after the discounted purchase price will be returned in the form of preferred shares. Cost: $20,000 per vehicle. |
| Angel | A wealthy individual who is investing in order to achieve returns of a non-monetary nature, such as an improved environment or air quality, employment or economic opportunities, and so forth. Typically, they will invest large amounts in the form of gifts, grants, lines of credit, or other assets such as real estate. |
| Angel Investor | Those wealthy investors who wish to maintain a low profile. |
| Common Shareholder | Common shareholders do not receive the same benefits as preferred shareholders, but have the flexibility to invest small or large amounts. Common shares are the logical choice for short-term speculators, mutual funds, and the like. Typical investment: 1-100,000 shares. |
| Preferred Shareholder | Preferred shareholders have the right to run or vote in elections to the Board of Directors, as well as to make submissions on any issue of significance to the organization to the Board of Directors. Preferred shares also typically have a greater value than common shares. Finally, in the event of bankruptcy, termination of operations, or liquidation of assets, preferred shareholders will receive a higher priority for dividends than common shareholders, but a lower priority than suppliers, service providers and customers. All pre-IPO investors will receive preferred stock unless they choose otherwise. Cost: price per share (not yet determined) x number of shares (typically in the thousands). |
| Venture Capitalist | An individual or organization in the business of providing seed capital for startups and business expansions. They typically receive preferred stock and liquidate early, but can be among the largest sources of startup capital. Typical investment:$100k to multi-millions. |
